New Solutions Require New Ideas - Three Keys to Nurturing Innovation

"If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got." We've all heard this; but how many of us shun things because they are "different," or new? In this world, change is the only thing that is certain; progress, or improvement, are not necessarily guaranteed. How well you create and respond to the changes in your life, business, or relationships, will determine your results in any pursuit.

Keeping things moving forward requires a steady stream of new ideas -- new information. The source of all that information is the mind -- not the physical world. The physical world can indeed serve as an inspiration for new thoughts, new ideas, and new solutions to old problems; but the "new" stuff is going to come from the mind of a human. This process -- the "creative process" -- is the key to innovation; and innovation is the key to progress.

Innovation is simply a "new vision;" someone has to be able to "see" this new vision before any of us will be able to experience it. Ancient wisdom tells us that we are formed by our thoughts, and that all things are possible to he (or she) who believes; within these words is the key to progress and innovation -- the key to new realities. By following a few simple guidelines, you can teach yourself to be a conscious creator, or visionary -- a true innovator.

Three-Keys to Nurturing Innovation:

  1. Dream Big! The only way to move beyond where you are is to think beyond where you are; and, as long as you are doing that, you might as well do it in a big way. That way, when your dream comes true, you'll have even more faith for your next project or adventure. Big dreams also force you out of the linear, "I know what is and isn't possible," left-brain aspect of your "self," allowing your creative faculties (the source of innovation) freedom of expression. No limits, no limitations; all things are possible.
  2. Conquer, overcome, eliminate, or remove Fear. Fear is the only limiting force in your life; fear is the only obstacle to performance or success. There are many techniques available today that can help you quickly and easily overcome such fears. These techniques, such as the Z-Point Process, EFT, and TAT, are commonly used by high-performance individuals, athletes, and businessmen, to achieve emotional freedom and peak-performance in all areas of life. When you remove fear, even the sky is no limit!
  3. Do Something Different (DSD)! Be creative, be spontaneous. Big risks equal big rewards; but don't get stupid with the risk thing. If you're doing more than you did before, you're out of your comfort zone; that's good. Next time, you can go a bit further; but each day you should peek beyond previous limits, obstacles, or boundaries. New and different are on the other side of the line marking your "progress-to-date."

Our bodies, lives, and even businesses are formed by our thoughts; if we want something new, we want change. To create change, we need only think different thoughts -- long enough, or intensely enough, to induce movement of some kind. To that, we can add, adjust, correct, compensate, and otherwise fine-tune our efforts to create something new for ourselves and the world.
